From the monks of Prinknash Abbey. Basilica is an iconic woody blend, and by far the most rare and oil rich of Prinknash's blends. It developed out of attempts to copy a recipe for incense in the Book of Exodus and for many it is the distinctively Prinknash incense. Deep, spicy and mysterious, with a hint of fine clean wood, for us it evokes  Gloomth, a term originally coined by Horace Walpole to describe the eerie Gothic ambiance of his Strawberry Hill home - either that or that distinct smell of an English sacristy.
